Dermal Fillers
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are a gel-like substance used to create volume where it has either been lost or placed in an area the patient wants enhanced. Main areas of use include the lips, the cheeks, tear troughs, brow, the naso-labial folds (crease between nose and corners of mouth), jawline, chin, temples and backs of the hands. Dermal fillers are made up of a synthetic form of a naturally occurring substance in the body, Hyaluronic Acid. There are different levels of thickness, ranging from a thin consistency commonly used for areas such as the lips and tear trough, to a medium thickness and a very thick form which is used for the cheek area.

Dermal fillers typically last between 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used, the area treated, individual metabolism, and lifestyle factors. Regular maintenance sessions are recommended to keep your results looking fresh and natural.
